Our Story...

What began as a small newsletter in 2019 quickly became a trusted source for industry insights and artist spotlights. While not a nonprofit, Texas Women In Music BLOG | PODCAST | MAGAZINE™ is a women-owned, women-led, small independent business created with the heartfelt mission of amplifying the voices and stories of women artists and industry professionals who are from Texas, live in Texas, or perform in Texas.

Founded on the belief that representation matters, Texas Women In Music BLOG | PODCAST | MAGAZINE™ exists to help elevate underrepresented voices by providing platforms for visibility and connection. Through our podcast, blog, magazine, live events, and digital content, we share the journeys, challenges, and achievements of Texas-connected women in music, with the goal of empowering both artists and audiences.

Our impact is guided by the spirit of service and collaboration. We are proud to be part of the cultural ecosystem that champions women in the arts in Texas (and beyond)! We welcome others to join us in recognizing and supporting this vital and vibrant creative community!

Together, Podcast Host Shauna Rose and Executive Producer Sallie Vee form the dynamic creative team behind the Texas Women in Music PODCAST™. With Shauna’s warm, engaging voice and storytelling finesse, paired with Sallie’s musical brilliance, industry savvy, and producer’s vision, these two creative powerhouses are the driving force behind Texas Women In Music BLOG | PODCAST | MAGAZINE™ bringing heart, harmony, and purpose to every podcast episode. United by a shared passion for elevating women in music and a deep love for the Texas music scene, Shauna and Sallie create a space where powerful stories are told, artistry is celebrated, and the voices of women ring loud and true across the Lone Star State and beyond.

Shauna Rose

Shauna Rose brings a rich, resonant voice and a deep passion for storytelling to the mic as the host of Texas Women in Music PODCAST™. Based near Waco, Shauna is a seasoned voice over artist with years of experience lending her voice to everything from commercials to documentary narration, and e-learning. Shauna now adds Podcast Host to her creative repertoire, bringing her signature warmth, curiosity, and clarity to every episode.

As a proud Texan and lifelong music lover, Shauna is on a mission to spotlight the incredible women shaping the sound and soul of the Lone Star State. With a natural ability to connect, she invites listeners into honest, inspiring, and often surprising conversations with the artists, producers, and pioneers who make Texas music thrive.

Whether behind the scenes or on center stage, Shauna amplifies voices that deserve to be heard, and she does it with grace, grit, and a genuine love for the stories she helps tell.

Sallie Vee

Sallie Vee is a creative force based near Austin, where music, storytelling, and community converge. A gifted singer, songwriter, pianist, composer, and independent recording artist in her own right, Sallie brings a lifetime of musical expression to everything she touches, both in front of the mic and behind the scenes.

With a career that blends artistry and strategy, Sallie is also an accomplished music producer and publicist by trade, known for helping artists shape their sound, refine their brand, and share their stories with impact. Her deep understanding of both the music industry and the art of connection makes her a rare and invaluable voice in today’s creative landscape.
